On that eventful tragic day, we stopped, stopped and still couldn’t believe it. The world lost of one of its rarest entertainers and that can’t be replaced. Although, many will try to take your spot, they will not succeed. They cannot fill your diamond encrusted shoes. You sung soft songs and moon walked before I could even walk. With your endless talents, you influenced and inspired millions. You brought joy through songs and dance from where the sun rises and set and wherever it touches. Even for a moment, we would all leave our worries aside and dance on the beat of ‘they don’t care about us’ and forgotten the moment. You looked with your heart to see what was really important, and that was strange at times. But it was even stranger what you had to go through; what it must have felt to lose childhood and old age in a lifetime is something no one has to endure. Let alone the taunting remarks, the hungry paparazzi, and screaming fans. You lived on behalf of the people in the short life you have been given. Know that just like all others you are innocent until proven otherwise. I will remember not your wacky stories, even crazier personality but how inspired people felt – like we can reach the sky and be free. After your death, you were honoured and passed with a bill stating you as an American citizen legend. If only, you could received it long time ago. You brought black, white, Asian, through love, hope and sheer creativity that was your music. Your legacy... I salute you for that… I am sorry Mrs. Jackson for your loss, but there is nothing that can be done now..
Goodbye…
